Welcome To Read a Story
I was first introduced to the world of make-believe when an aunt presented me with two books, the first that were truly mine. One was called Peter Pan, the other Black Beauty. Peter Pan terrified me although it did make me wonder if I could fly. One night I decided to make a practice run and climbed up on my bedroom windowsill. Luckily for me, my sister called my mother before I went sailing off into the blue and I was hauled back by my hair. When I read Black Beauty, I shed buckets of tears and I've never been able to read it since or to forget it.
I believe I was born with a passion for books and the written word. As a child, I wrote plays for our gang which we 'put on' in a friend's barn, forcing our parents to come to our performances.
